Performance Integrated Quantum Scalable Internet

The proposed project will assess and develop the network architectures and communications protocols needed to build and operate quantum networks for US Department of Energy (DOE) quantum computing and sensing systems. The effort will focus on performance-based entanglement distribution and teleportation operations. Our solutions will be flexible enough to support multiple encoding types (e.g., qubits, qudits, and continuous variables) and multiple degrees of freedom (e.g., polarization, time bins, and amplitude/phase).
