Yasmin is a junior at UMD studying Electrical Engineering with a minor in Quantum Science.
Her research interests include quantum optics, photonics, and quantum communication. At PhoQuS, she contributes to the development of photonic systems for quantum communication, including the Green Machine. Her prior work includes internships at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and Lockheed Martin SPACE. She is also involved with the Center for Quantum Networks and IEEE @ UMD, where she works to expand opportunities for students in quantum and photonics.
Outside of research, she enjoys traveling, reading, and yoga.
