Dr. Chao Li joins us after 4+ years as postdoc/scientist at MIT. Chao is a phenomenal scientist with background spanning color center physics, engineering, integrated photonics and electronics. Chao has been leading and advising student projects at MIT on topics spanning RF-hyperfine two qubit logic for SnV color centers, MEMS scanning system for SiV nano pillar array, strain tuning of color centers, integrated reconfigurable PICs for scalable SiV registers, and more. He has also been the CQN Boston-area testbed lead. Chao complements Chaohan’s and Saikat’s technical skills (quantum optics theory and experiments), bringing in his broad expertise of atomic quantum-memory physics–an important pillar of CQN research.
